I thought I would share a some pictures of each room comparing what they looked like when we bought the building in March to what it looks like now. While a lot has changed in the building, there are a few things that we have kept the same as when it was Nelson’s Landing.

I haven’t been very good at updating the blog! I have done a little better over on our social media pages though so please like and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for more frequent updates.
The biggest change we have made are opening up the wall between the Sikes and Banquet rooms. We also started painting the wall white and it has really brightened up the space!
The kids have loved exploring the upstairs and basement. They have found some neat things. I am hoping to display many of the historical things we have found throughout the building.
Here is a quick photo dump of some progress and treasures from the building. I will try to do better over the next couple of months!
That has been the reaction of most of our family when we told them that we were buying Sikes. Thankfully, once we explained a little more about our plans they were almost as excited as we are. This blog will be used to share information about Sikes, pictures of our renovations, history of the buildings (did you know it actually used to be four buildings?), and anything else that we feel is important to share.
